Tree Lightings Celebration Tree Lighting Nov. 30 The annual traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony kicks off Celebration’s ‘Now Snowing’ celebration and is a family favorite tradition. Starting at 5 p.m., the event features live music, strolling carolers and a grand entrance by Santa Claus himself. Each night following through Christmas, the tree will be lit at 5:50 p.m. Light Up Kissimmee Nov. 30 Start the day with Kissimmee Main Street Small Business Saturday in the afternoon, and Santa and Mrs. Claus at the KMS office from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and check out the holiday specials among downtown vendors. At 7 p.m., join the caroling parade on over to City Hall, where the city tree returns after a year due to construction, for the city’s annual tree lighting. St. Cloud Tree Lighting Dec. 6 Join the City of St. Cloud for its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. at the City Hall courtyard in Downtown St. Cloud. The free family event will include musical performances, crafts, games, rides, snow slide, visits with Santa along with the traditional annual tree lighting. The festivities last until 10 p.m. Local Parades St. Cloud Christmas Parade ‘Toys on Parade’ Dec. 7 The St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce and the City of St. Cloud present the 61st edition of the annual St. Cloud Christmas Parade at 10 a.m. Come at 9 a.m. for the start of the Holiday Festival with vendors and entertainment, and stay for “Toys on Parade”, featuring floats, festive decorations, marching bands, dance teams, cheerleaders, local dignitaries and luminaries— including Santa Claus himself! And be sure to check out the Holiday Festival from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 3 and 4 and see the crafters, carnival-type fare and entertainment. APV Poinciana Christmas Parade & Celebration Dec. 14 Register your float or walking group for the Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) Christmas parade and celebration. Now in its 31st year, the parade will begin at 11 a.m. at Vance Harmon Park and travel down Cypress Parkway. In addition to the parade, the festival to follow includes a kids zone, food trucks, family and spiritual activities, vendors, live music with a Battle of the Bands, and of course pictures with Santa. Kissimmee Festival of Lights Parade Dec. 14 Experience one of the area’s premier nighttime parades through the streets of Historic Downtown Kissimmee. The festivities start earlier in the day at City Hall, a new location this year, for holiday festivities starting at 4 p.m. Enjoy the KUA Kids Power Zone and send a Letter to Santa. Cap the night at 7:30 p.m. with the Kissimmee Festival of Lights Parade—keep in mind the parade route now travels down Broadway, makes a left on Sproule Street, then down Church Street past First United Methodist Church and City Hall.
