May 15-June 4, 2024 - Page 9 www.crej.com Office by Avalon Jacka DENVER – The Colorado Chamber of Commerce will relocate to a new office build- ing in June. The Colorado Chamber leased the fifth floor of 1700 Broadway, part of the Atrium Campus, from Beacon Capital Partners. The new space totals 6,739 square feet. CBRE facili- tated the transaction on behalf of both parties. The organiza- tion has been in its current space at 1600 Broadway, which is about 500 sf smaller than its new space, for 24 years. “It’s fitting for the state cham- ber to call a building with such historic significance – Den- ver’s first modern high-rise – our new home,” said Presi- dent and CEO Loren Furman. “This modernized office space will accommodate the Colo- rado chamber’s recent growth and renewed strategic vision, enabling us to better support our members across the state. It was also important for us to remain in close proximity to the state Capitol to continue our advocacy work as the most effective voice of the statewide business community.” The chamber was attracted to the new space for several reasons, according to Cynthia Eveleth-Havens, Colorado chamber senior vice president, communications. The cham- ber’s current space is very seg- mented, with teams located on opposite sides of the office, and the new space brings the offic- es closer together for a more collaborative environment. The chamber will bolster its tech- nology in the new office to ensure all of its members in every corner of the state can be connected to its programs. The building’s modern design, recent amenity upgrades and history also better align with the chamber’s brand. The new office will include a more collaborative workspace for employees, technology upgrades, additional individu- al office space to support team growth, and an expanded con- ference room with enhanced video and audio technology capabilities. The features will help move forward the Colo- rado chamber’s 10-year stra- tegic action plan to improve the state’s business climate, and will support the Colorado chamber’s recent increase in membership and program par- ticipation. Atrium Campus ameni- ties include a fitness center, bike room, lounge, conferenc- ing space, ground-floor retail, entertainment, electric vehicle charging and programmed events, according to the build- ing’s website. Built in 1956, 1700 Broadway was designed by renowned architect I.M. Pei. The Colorado chamber has significantly expanded its pro- grams in recent years with the creation of new technology, legal reform, environmental, workforce and local chamber alliances that use the group’s facilities. The chamber has also created several new staff posi- tions to meet its growing needs and focus on major priorities.
