Life Time Inc. will open its first Boulder location at 1821 30th St. The brand leased a 40,000-square- foot space in the former Colorado Athletic Club space from Mac- erich, a national owner, opera- tor and developer of retail and mixed-use properties. The space will be fully renovated before Life Time opens in 2025. “We are so pleased to welcome Life Time to Twenty Ninth Street, our one-of-a-kind outdoor prop- erty in the heart of Boulder,” said Bob Beffa, Macerich senior vice president, real estate. “With three high-performing Life Time loca- tions already operating at other top regional town centers in our portfolio, we can say with con- fidence that they are a terrific operator, and their amenity-rich athletic facilities are top-notch. We are especially appreciative that, with Life Time, Twenty Ninth Street will continue to offer an outstanding fitness experience geared to this incredibly active community.” The open-air Twenty Ninth Street features top brands like Apple, Anthropologie, Nord- strom Rack, and lululemon, as well as numerous restaurants, including Birdcall, Chipotle, Modern Market, Motomaki and more. Athletic Club space to Life Time by Avalon Jacka DENVER – An indoor golf and entertainment social club located in a former military han- gar has opened its doors. Hangar Club, located at 7600 E. First Ave., marked its opening Feb. 1. The 22,000-square-foot venue, which includes 10 state- of-the-art Trackman simulators, a central bar, private and open lounges and seating throughout, is open to the public and avail- able to rent for private events. The club offers golf instruction from PGA pros, weekly league play and professional club fit- tings. “Located in the heart of the former Lowry Air Force Base, the iconic building dates back to World War II, and its scale, open layout and natural light immediately caught our atten- tion as the perfect space for what we envisioned Hangar Club to be, a premier indoor golf and entertainment venue unlike any other indoor golf facility in Colorado, reminiscent of his- toric golf and social clubs but inviting and open to all,” said Daren Schmidt, a local real estate developer and Hangar Club founding partner. Hangar Club is located in a repurposed hangar structure with large amounts of natural light and open space. Built in 1942, the building originally functioned as part of the arma- ment school for the U.S. Army Air Corps and later the U.S. Air Force, according to the club’s website. The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. “Given its historical signifi- cance, our team was deliberate in preserving the exterior and interior features of the build- ing, including the expansive steel beams and windows used in the building’s original con- struction, and honored the leg- acy of the building and Lowry in the Hangar Club name,” Schmidt added. The developers acquired the building in summer 2022 for $5.5 million, according to pre- vious reporting. The building’s redevelopment cost a total of $2.5 million. s Hangar Club opens in former military building in Lowry The 22,000-square-foot Hangar Club, located at 7600 E.
