The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Board Members Attending: Laurel Christianson, Jere- my LeBlanc, Amanda Lecy, Abbey Richter, Sonja Ped- erson, Ron Winter, Matt Zempel. Others Attending: Karter Canatsey, Londyn Dorame, Lisa Hansen, Abigail Jimenez, Perry Oftedahl, Kara Onnen, Darrel Refsland, Lexi Stengel, Denise Streich, Kalli Sannerud, Jen Thull, Stacy Hinz, Jeremy Wilcox Motion by Christianson, second by Pederson, and car- ried, to approve the meeting agenda. Sonja Pederson read the mission statement. Jen Thull addressed the board on behalf of the Vote Yes Committee. Motion by Zempel, second by Lecy, and carried, to ap- prove consent agenda items: April 14, 2025, meeting minutes, payment for claims in the amount of $433,124.24 with checks numbered 28441-28596, wire transfers in the amount of $335,516.76 numbered 202400267-202400284, fi- nance and enrollment reports. The YME FFA Chapter shared their experiences from a recent visit to Arizona. Administrative reports were given. Principal Hansen and Superintendent Schneider recognized Principal Hinz on being named as MASOP Administrator of the Year. A review of the April 16 Finance Committee and April 28 Before/After School Care Task Force meetings were given. Motion by Pederson, second by Winter, and carried, to approve a leave of absence for Kaitlyn Kiffmeyer, el- ementary teacher; to accept the resignations of Kari Coulter, Math Teacher, Taryn Reishus, FaCS Teacher, Amber Engesser, MS/HS Paraprofessional; Samantha Placek, YME Honor Society Advisor; Beth Jahn & Amy Hoernemann, Lego League Coaches. Motion by Richter, second by Christianson, and carried, to approve the employment of the following: Alexis Smith, School Readiness Teacher; Austin Sorenson, Out- side Maintenance Lead; Shelly Hansen, Summer Cus- todial Lead; Andrew Flaten, Summer Groundskeeper/ Custodian; Annelise Jahn, Student Technology Assis- tant. Motion by Christianson, second by Zempel, and carried, unanimously by roll call vote, to adopt the resolution placing Charles Thode on Unrequested Leave of Ab- sence by 0.167 FTE. Motion by Lecy, second by Pederson, and carried, to ap- prove the purchase of Special Education Services from the Minnesota Valley Cooperative Center for the 2025- 2026 school year. Motion by Zempel, second by Christianson, and carried, unanimously by roll call vote, to adopt the resolution approving membership with the MN State High School League for the 2025-2026 school year. Motion by Lecy, second by Richter, and carried, to ap- prove the adjusted Purchase of Accounting and Payroll Services Contract with MVCC for the remainder of 2024- 2025. Motion by Pederson, second by Zempel, and carried, to approve the Fiscal Host Agreement with MVCC from July 1, 2025-June 30, 2030. Motion by Christianson, second by Zempel, and carried, to approve the Joint Powers Agreement with MVCC. Discussion was held regarding class sizes for the 2025-26 school year.
