Mark Lundgren was born and raised in Chaska, where he still resides today. Lundgren attended the University of Minnesota - Duluth and, shortly after graduation, began teaching and coaching at Golden Valley High School, where he worked for nine years. He then left Golden Valley to become an assistant coach at Eden Prairie, which he says was nothing like the football juggernaut the school is known as today. Then, in 1990, he was approached by several peo- ple who encouraged him to run for Carver County Annandale | Bu alo | Cokato | Darwin | Dassel | Delano | Glencoe | Howard Lake | Hutchinson | Kimball | Lester Prairie Litch eld | Loretto | Maple Lake | Maple Plain | Mayer | Montrose | Mound | New Germany | Norwood Young America Rockford | Silver Lake | South Haven | St. Bonifacius | Waconia | Watertown | Waverly | Winsted Senior Con n e c t ion s is distributed to: Jan./Feb. 2023 VOLUME 4 | NO. 6 Senior Con n e ct ion s HJ.COM PHOTO BY AUSTEN NEATON The Chain Gang does not see members leave often, as Lundgren says that the crew is like family and that they love working the chains during games.
